My Take on Holiday Photos

Every holiday season I have a select handful of clients that reach out to inquire about having holiday photos taken of them with their family. Because this isn’t really my specialty I usually refer them to someone else but I’ve always wanted to tackle family portraits. I’ve done a few family portraits for some of my family members but I’ve never actually taken on any clients until this year. I was recommended this lovely family from another client of mine and I finally decided that this would be the year I gave it a shot.

This client was going to have everyone in their family and the only specific instruction I was given was that they did not want to use the Christmas tree as a prop because they already had the year prior. I brought along a cousin of mine to assist me with the shoot. She is usually pretty helpful with the small details that go into these types of portraits and because she had worked in a chain photography location she has a fair amount of experience with posing as well. Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the results of the shoot. There are some problem areas I’m unhappy with but for a first attempt I think they’re pretty decent.
